This design is one of the oldest designs of Skyrian woodcarving. It is called "the figs", because it shows the open figs drying. Their nutritional value was recognized by the ancient Greeks, centuries before the scientific community, as a nutritious food for the army of ancient Athens and the athletes of the Olympic Games, who consumed fresh and dried figs before the events.
